CSSC Squash: Questions for squash players who did not enter the CSSC Games
Dear all,
The CSSC Games were held recently at Loughborough (12th / 13th September 2013). One of the sports included in the Games was Squash, with the National Singles Tournament being held. At the past 2 years (CSSC Games in 2011 and Nottingham Squash Club in 2012) we have had entries of over 40 players. This year the entry was 25, which was disappointingly low.
A number of reasons for this have been suggested, such as difficulty of getting time off, cost for those who did not have access to funding and also an early entry closure date.
If you did not enter this year, we would be grateful if you would send back your “Yes / No” answers to a few questions. It would help us plan in the future. Many thanks.
- Did you know about the squash competition at the Games this year?
- Did you think the cost too high? Was that a reason for not entering?
- Was time off an issue that stopped you entering? Or were you not able to have time off (e.g.non-civil servant)?
- Was the entry closure date too early such that you missed the deadline?
You can direct your responses simply by replying to this email.
Regards,
Mark, CSSRA
