She is the current CSSC Ladies Champion and over 40’s Champion. Also a previous Ladies CSSC Team Captain she is a regular CSSC ladies team player.

This year in particular has seen Heather’s squash reach high levels.

She entered the British Nationals in February where she beat the number 1 and 3 seeds, Mandy Akin and Clare Baker, to reach the final where she lost to Candy Wilton.

In May she was once again selected to play for England in the Over 40’s Home Internationals in Dublin. Last year she played at number 5 however this year due to her fine form she was up at number 3 where she won all her matches.

In September she entered the British Open and was seeded in the 5-8 section. Heather reached the quarterfinal losing to Ellie Pierce the number 2 seed from America.

A regular county player for Merseyside who play in the Premier Division, Heather plays her club squash at Northern Crosby. She plays Division 1 in the North West Counties Ladies League and Division 3 in the Men’s Leagues .She is also a Level 2 squash coach and teaches juniors aged 5yrs-17yrs.

This year she was chosen by Sefton Council as their Sportswoman of the year. The next stage is to be put forward for the Merseyside Sportswoman of the year. The results are out in the next month.
